Loving relationships exercise

Sunday is often the day when we’re more together with the significant others in our lives.

Even if you’re working at home during the week, this is the day when you spend time together in a different way. If you live on your own, perhaps it’s the day you catch up with folks on the phone.

Relationships can be our greatest gift and our biggest challenge.

Marianne Williamson in her book, A Return To Love, sees relationships as The Holy Encounter.

When you meet anyone, remember it is a holy encounter…. As you treat him, you will treat yourself…. In every relationship, in every moment, we teach either love or fear.

– Marianne Williamson

Here’s a simple exercise to help you bring more love to your relationships today.

Listening.

Deep active listening.

Just listening.

Notice you reactions. Notice that desire to want to interject. Notice that desire to correct. Just notice.

No responses required.

If they ask you for a reply, ask if you can take time to think about that.

‘Can I get back to you?’

Allow yourself to be surprised.

A whole other world opens up when you allow yourself to wonder. Listening deeply to another gives you an access to this. When someone surprises you, think of it as a doorway into your own secret wonderland.

That’s all there is to do.

Practice it with your loved ones today.

No one even needs to know you’re doing it.

See what difference it makes to your relationships today.

Let’s flourish together!❤️❤️
