It’s Winter Solstice today and, drum roll please…..day 50 of writing these daily posts.
Yay! I did it!⭐️
Winter Solstice marks a key transition point in the seasonal calendar: a time to pause between the two halves of the year.
When you look back at your journey since Summer Solstice,
What have you experienced?
What do you want to acknowledge?
What have you learned?
As you look forward, what new seeds do you want to take in to the next cycle?
If you’re out on a walk, you can find a natural gateway, perhaps two trees side by side,
‘Pause at the threshold and gather into your heart all that has moved you in the last 6 months since the Summer Solstice. As you step through the archway, name your wishes for the new cycle about to begin. Picture them happening and already in motion.‘
Glennie Kindred, Letting In The Wild Edges
It’s traditionally a time to gather with friends around fire. Bit challenging this year, both with guidelines and today’s inclement weather. We’ll gather inside as a family with lots of candles and greenery and enjoy a lasagne made with the enormous squash we grew.😋
As I reflect back on the time since Summer Solstice, I feel proud that I know myself as someone who can write and press publish every day for 50 days.😊 I also feel grateful to all those who have read and encouraged. Thank you.🙏🏼
It’s time for me to pause daily posts for now. We take these next two weeks off as a family.
Wishing you a gentle festive period however that looks for you, dear friend.
See you on the other side.
Let’s flourish together!
